NORIT® GAC 1240

Bituminous Granular Activated Carbon

NORIT GAC 1240 is a granular activated carbon produced by steam activation of select grades of coal. As a result of a unique patented activation process and stringent quality control, NORIT GAC 1240 offers excellent adsorption properties and is recommended for removal of impurities from water and industrial process applications. NORIT GAC 1240 meets all AWWA B-100 and B-604 standards for potable water use. NORIT GAC 1240 is certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 and will meet the requirements for the U.S. Food Chemicals Codex (4th Edition, 1996).
