Equipment
Designed for lasting dependability in challenging environments, Norit has a complete range of bulk silos, mobile silos, pressure vessels, and bulk bag systems for both wet and dry applications. In addition to equipment, Norit also offers complete turnkey systems including on-site installation, equipment startup, operator training, and ongoing services.
- Dry PAC Systems for dosing into flue gas applications
This activated carbon injection system is the right choice for injecting powder activated carbon (PAC) into flue gas streams to control many regulated compounds including mercury and dioxins from coal fired utilities, cement kilns, incinerators, industrial boilers and metal smelters. The PAC dosage is continuously adjustable and pneumatically conveyed into the flue gas stream.
- Dry PAC Systems for dosing into liquid applications
This activated carbon injection system is the right choice to cleanly and accurately dose powder activated carbon (PAC) into a liquid stream to remove organic compounds, color bodies and odor causing contaminants from beverages, water, wastewater and other industrial applications. The PAC delivery system includes hydraulic mixing and conveys a continuously adjustable PAC dosage rate into a motive liquid stream.
- Mobile Silo Systems
This system is specifically designed for temporary use in full scale plant test programs to evaluate powder activated carbon injection technology to control many regulated compounds including mercury, dioxins and hydrocarbons. It features the same benefits as our permanent systems as described, below. After testing is completed, the mobile silo system may be readily removed and transported by flat bed trailer to another plant site.
- PORTA-PAC® Bulk Bag Systems
A simple and cost-effective system to meter powder activated carbon from bulk bags into flue gas or wet applications. The feeder is portable and built in two eight-foot sections, which make shipping, set-up and relocation quick and easy. The system can be permanently installed for applications with smaller volume requirements or used as a temporary system for full-scale testing.

These adsorption vessels are the recommended systems to treat liquid streams in a wide variety of applications. Their modular design provides maximum flexibility for location and treatment requirements.
- AEROPURE® V Series
These adsorption vessels are the recommended systems to treat gas streams in a wide variety of applications. Their modular design provides maximum flexibility for location and treatment requirements.
- Norit AEROPURE® VF Series and Roll Off Boxes
Adsorption vessels recommended for treating gas streams near atmospheric conditions. Sizes range from 500 - 20,000 pounds per vessel.
- Norit LiquidPURE® LD 10
This drum adsorber is designed for use in liquid-phase streams ranging from groundwater cleanup to chemical intermediate purification. The standard steel drum will handle most applications. For streams requiring high purity or very corrosive applications, Polydrums and stainless steel models are available.
- Norit AEROPURE® A-150
This drum adsorber is designed for use in a wide variety of vapor-phase streams ranging from lift station odors to chemical process gas stream purification. The heavy duty steel drum will handle most applications. The Polydrum and stainless steel models are available for streams requiring high purity or very corrosive applications.
